01 Moist and Easy Fruit Cake
Fruit cakes are loved by people of all ages, especially children. If you want to make some fantastic fruit cake for your kids, here's one recipe to try.
Step 1: Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Step 2: Spray some nonstick vegetable spray or use butter to cover the base of the pan. Once done, add a parchment sheet. Don't forget to add the parchment sheet to the sides as well, about 2 inches above.
Step 3: Take a separate bowl and mix baking powder, ground almonds, salt, and flour. Whisk together.
Step 4: Take another bowl. Add some chopped nuts and candied and dried fruits. The flour mixture that you have created. Take about 3-4 tablespoons and add it to these nuts and fruits. Mix well.
Step 5: If you have a hand mixer or electric mixer, add some butter and beat until creamy. Once done, add some sugar, keep beating until fluffy. Keep adding eggs, however, one at a time. This way, the mixture will mix properly. Add some lemon zest, orange zest, orange juice, and some alcohol (optional). Add fruits and then the flour mixture. Mix well.
Step 6: Add the mixture to the buttered pan and bake for around 80-90 minutes. The temperature needs to be reduced to 300 degrees.
02 Gingerbread Cookies
Christmas is the time when you sit along with the whole family and try some delicious gingerbread cookies. So, why not make some of your own this holiday season?
Step 1: Take a large bowl. Mix molasses, brown sugar, and butter. Beat them until fluffy. Once done, add vanilla and egg. Beat until combined.

- Add salt, baking soda, spices, and flour.
- Mix the ingredients until combined.
- Add dry ones to the wet ingredients gradually.
- Add some orange zest, fresh ginger, and black pepper (optional).
Step 3: Divide the dough in half. You need to create two discs. Wrap each disc in a plastic wrap and refrigerate them both for about 2 to 3 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut out the gingerbread men.
- Transfer them to the baking sheets you will be using.
Step 5: Bake them for around 9 to 10 minutes until they are slightly puffed.
Step 6: Allow them to cool. Once cooled, use frosting or icing sugar to decorate the fun gingerbread cookies.
